So I asked Laura to marry me yesterday. We drove out to Joshua Tree national park while we were visiting in Los Angeles. We went up on top of the Little San Bernardino Mountains and I launched my plan to ask her. I gave her a hardcover Fellowship of the Rings book which had been hollowed out. Inside I had placed her ring inside a little envelope that said “One Ring To Bind Them”. I got down on one knee and asked and she replied “Yes, yes, of course!”
I guess I could have been wearing elf ears, then it would have been a little dorkier. 🙂 See the photo below to see the book, inside and ring!
